Gladys McConnell

Gladys McConnell (1905-1979) American Researcher and Actress. WAMPAS (Western Association of Motion Picture Advertisers) Baby Star. "Baby star" was a popular slang term for "starlet" at the time and should not be confused with "child star".  Her granddaughter is Jennifer McAllister. Daughter with husband A. Ronald Button: Barbara Button McAllister. Barbara Button appeared on the TV series "Coke Time" (1953) with Eddie Fisher, uncredited in Zabriskie Point (1970), and in various TV commercials.

Her second husband was A. Ronald Button (b. 1903, d. 1987), an attorney. He began practicing law in Hollywood in 1928, where he had a number of celebrity clients, including Hedy Lamarr. Later, he specialized in corporate and business law. Eventually, he was appointed California State Treasurer. She had at least one sibling, a sister identified in historical records only as Mrs. Harold O. Wright. This is believed to be Hazel McConnell Wright (1901 - 1989), born in Tennessee. Was an aviatrix. Along with Ruth Elder, was one of very few female pilots of her era.
